Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone began their filmy careers on the very same Friday. Although they were in different films, romancing different co-stars, somehow they landed up being together. The duo may have later split up, but their undying friendship is something that everyone swears by. So how did this all start? When was the first time the two met? Well, last night at a Tamasha promotional event, Ranbir spilled out the beans.
"I vividly remember when I met Deepika for the first time. Om Shanti Om and Saawariya hadn't released as yet. We were shooting in Filmistan studios. On one side were the sets of Saawariya and on the back side they were shooting for a song sequence in Om Shanti Om. I was just coming out the studio, and just like her dreamy character in the movie, Deepika just passed by in her costume and all. I instantly had a first impression of her. I felt she was definitely going to make it big in the film industry. She was so gorgeous. And I think over the years, with her hard work and perseverance, she has managed to only better that image of what I had of her then," said Ranbir.
Well, Deepika was left speechless at the fact that Ranbir still remembered the incident.
Since then the two have given two blockbuster films together, Bachna Ae Haseeno and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and are all set to come back with Tamasha on November 27.
